Bluewater Broadcasting creates the “Rich Thomas Weather Network”
Montgomery, AL 2016: Bluewater Broadcasting is pleased to announce the creation of The Rich Thomas Weather Network with Meteorologist Rich Thomas, who will provide his services to the company as Chief Meteorologist.
For over three decades Rich Thomas has been the River Region’s most trusted name in weather, having served as Chief Meteorologist for Raycom’s WSFA-TV since 1983. “I am thrilled and honored to join the Bluewater team, and look forward to continue to serve the people who have depended on me, and trusted me for more than 34 years. We have a exciting cutting edge plan to cover weather, especially severe weather, in the River Region, not only across the family of 8 Bluewater radio stations, but also visually on multiple media platforms. The network will be available wherever you are, and wherever you go. It will be a unique partnership.”
Rick Peters, Managing Partner of Bluewater adds that, “The Rich Thomas Weather Network will be on all of our 8 FM radio stations, as well as on-line on all Bluewater websites, on all of Bluewater’s Facebook pages, have it’s own dedicated Facebook page, and available onYouTube. It will also have it’s own dedicated weather app for both IPhone and Android, and stream-live on all platforms in severe weather situations. This approach goes far beyond television reporting, and will be available to the community 24/7.”
The Rich Thomas Weather Network will be heard on BAMA Country 98.9, Classic Hits, Q96.1; Alternative, 104.9 The Gump; NewsTalk 93.1; Classic Country, Possum 103.9; Urban. 97.9 Jamz; Top 40, Hits 107.1; and Hip Hop Oldies, Yo! 100.5 beginning in April of 2016.
